The Discovery Inn has been welcoming guests to San Juan Island for many years. Originally run by two generations of the Smith family, the Inn has been owned by the Tatarskys since 2019.

Throughout the Inn we have made upgrades. All our rooms now have quality non-allergenic wool carpet, upgraded Keurig coffee makers with their own water reservoirs, High-Definition Smart TV’s, and newly upgraded modern furnishings.
We are most excited for you to experience our spacious Deluxe King rooms! With Stearns & Foster mattresses, high-quality Italian linens, and comfortable sitting areas, our King rooms are truly a step above. Some of them even have original artwork by local Island artists!

“Nice place, well kept. Clean rooms and nicely decorated. bathrooms were nice and clean. Coffee station in room was nice. Sheets and pillow were very nice and beds were comfortable. Walkable to Friday Harbor, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Garden area and hot tub were very enjoyable.”
