Enjoy Our Lawns!
The almost 2 acres of park-like grounds at Discovery Inn are the perfect place to enjoy. Lots of open spaces and two separate deck areas, filled with Adirondack chairs, swings and benches, BBQ’s and tables, there are plenty of places to relax and enjoy a quiet moment, or have a cook-out. And there are designated areas for games, with an open field, which even includes a volleyball or badminton net (May – October).
Relax in the Hot Tub & on the Sun Deck!
Before or after a fun day of exploring San Juan Island, relax in our large outdoor hot tub. We provide additional towels for your convenience. Open May through October, 8am – 10pm daily.
Admire Our Flowers!
An abundance of colorful and vibrant flowers welcome you throughout the property. It seems every where you look there is something blooming or growing. Come and enjoy!
Have a BBQ!
There are several BBQ grills and picnic tables throughout the lawn at Discovery Inn, so if you want to have a cook out, we are all set for you! We make having a BBQ hassle free by having everything you need ready for you. Just grab a “BBQ kit” that includes everything from utensils to seasonings, tinfoil to lighter fluid. All you have to bring is the food!

We have a large collection of games to enjoy while you are here. A variety of board games, trivia, dice, and cards are available in the office if you prefer sitting around the table with family and friends. For some outside fun and activities, you will find an assortment of yard games at your fingertips. So, grab your kids and assemble your friends – and make some memories!
