After a scenic ferry ride, check into your room at Discovery Inn. Indulge in some retail therapy as you browse the shops and galleries. San Juan Island is home to many creative artisans so there is always a rare treat to find. Don’t miss Friday Harbor Chocolate (it is Valentine’s Day, after all!) or the  Heart Pendant Collection at Nixon Art Glass for a truly beautiful token of your love.

End your afternoon with a stroll along South Beach, a 2 mile long driftwood strewn beach, keeping your eye out for orcas and humpbacks that can often be seen from shore.

After a quick rest in your comfortable room at Discovery Inn, enjoy a romantic dinner at Downriggers as you watch the boat lights twinkle off the water of the marina or the special Valentine’s five-course prix-fixe menu at Coho.

By the time you get on the ferry to return home, you will be relaxed, rested and well fed.  You will almost forget that you were also Covid safe and responsible!
